After three unsuccessful attempts, we decided to undergo egg donation in Cyprus. I am 42 years old, and time is very important for me. We were exhausted both financially and emotionally. Having retrieved eggs that turned out empty, constantly taking medications, and after all that effort, hearing we were pregnant but never hearing a heartbeat — it took a heavy psychological toll on us.

The donor selection was the part we were most worried about, but the professional support we received made it the most satisfying stage of the entire process. Choosing our donor turned out to be the aspect we were happiest with.
I wish we had set aside our prejudices and at least researched this option earlier. Maybe it was destiny that we met the right people at the right time. All the hardships and struggles of these years disappeared the moment our miracle baby was placed in our arms.
