SPERM DONATION TREATMENT PROCESS
The sperm donation treatment process involves selecting donor sperm cells from a sperm bank that match the physical characteristics, build, ethnicity, and blood type of the father. These donor sperm cells are then used to fertilize the mother-to-be’s eggs in the laboratory. The resulting embryos are transferred into the uterus to achieve pregnancy.
When is sperm donation recommended?
In cases of azoospermia (no sperm production) when no sperm can be retrieved through micro-TESE or TESE
When IVF has failed due to poor sperm quality
When the male partner is a carrier of a hereditary genetic disease
When the male partner has a viral infection that cannot be cleared from semen
When severe chromosomal abnormalities are detected in sperm
When a single woman wishes to have a child

Our Sperm Sources
At our center, sperm donation treatments are performed with donor sperm obtained from Cryos International (Denmark) — the world’s largest, most reliable sperm bank established in 1981 — and the European Sperm Bank. All sperm are shipped with special certifications in nitrogen tanks.
Sperm samples undergo extensive testing, including genetic and infectious disease screenings, psychological evaluations, and detailed family medical histories. Donors are also evaluated with intelligence and psychological tests, ensuring patients can complete their treatment with full confidence and peace of mind.
The success of the treatment depends on the woman’s age, egg count, and egg quality.
Treatment Steps
Monitoring of egg development (this can be done in coordination with our team in the patient’s own location)
Egg retrieval
Selection of donor sperm from the sperm bank
Fertilization of the egg using the ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) technique
Embryo transfer
Women undergoing sperm donation follow the same ovarian stimulation treatments as in standard IVF.
On day 2–4 of the menstrual cycle, the mother-to-be begins stimulation with hormone injections to mature the eggs. This stage can be managed in the patient’s home country under the supervision of a local doctor, guided by our team. If desired, the entire process can also be completed at our center.
Within about 10–12 days, once the eggs reach maturity, an injection is administered to trigger ovulation, and eggs are retrieved 36 hours later under deep sedation (not full surgical anesthesia). The procedure takes only 10–15 minutes, ensuring comfort.
On the day of egg retrieval, the selected certified donor sperm is injected into the eggs using the ICSI technique. Fertilized embryos are monitored for about 5 days, and the best-quality embryos are selected for transfer. Any remaining high-quality embryos are frozen and stored for the patient.

All treatments are carried out with strict digital confidentiality and security protocols. No patient information is ever shared with family members, relatives, or any institution.
